1. Zeegr S1 Electric Fat Bike
The Zeegr S1 is up there with being one of the most powerful e-bikes on the market. It is ideal for those who want to do a bit of strenuous off-roading, or something that has a bit more oomph for their daily commute, particularly if that commute involves a lot of tough hill climbs.
- 2000W motor
- 52V 22Ah battery
- Top Speed: 35mph
- Maximum Range: 60 miles
For more details, read our review of the Zeegr S1 electric bike.
This Zeegr S1 is a bike built for adventure. Everything about it screams ‘off-road’. We’re talking about a powerful 2000W dual motor that will let you leap over bumps and jumps in the road with ease. Full suspension that will ensure that you stay comfortable on even the toughest trails, and a durable build that will last (aluminum 6061).
The Zeegr S1 is an incredibly comfortable ride. Whether you’re off-road, or on your morning commute, it’ll offer a relaxing trip. It’s a fast ride too, with a maximum speed of 35mph, although we doubt too many of you will come close to that.
The range is a little bit lower than some other e-bikes on the market, although that is down to the hefty motor at the heart of the Zeegr S1. However, you should be able to get somewhere between 40 and 60 miles range from the e-bike, which will be more than enough for most people.
Out of all the fat-tire electric bikes on this list, the Zeegr S1 is probably our favorite. It may not necessarily be for you, but if you’re looking for an e-bike with a huge amount of power, and an electric bike that is a true joy to ride, then it might be right up your street.
2. Freedare Eden Electric Fat Bike
The Freedare Eden is built for the urban rider. While it is perfect for all surfaces, we think the Freedare Eden really comes into its own when you’re hopping on it to navigate along busy urban roads on your morning (or evening) commute. Although, it is also perfect for pulling out at the weekends when you feel like darting along off-road trails.
- 750W Motor
- 20Ah Battery
- Top Speed: 28mph
- Maximum Range: 90 miles
For more details, read our review of the Freedare Eden electric bike.
Just look at the picture of the Freedare Eden. It is one of the best-looking electric bikes on the market, right? Hop on this, and you’ll look seriously slick as you embark on your daily commute. You almost wouldn’t want to take it out off-roading because you’ll be worried about dirtying it. Although, don’t worry, once you realize how fun the Freedare Eden is to ride, you won’t be too fussed about a bit of mud.
The Freedare Eden is a joy to ride. While it doesn’t have quite as much power as the Zeegr S1, it is still capable of handling some tough terrain, including hefty hills. As we said – this is mostly for on-road riding, but you’ll have no issues driving over tough trails, sand, etc.
It is a comfortable ride too. The Freedare Eden features a ‘step-through’ design, which basically means that you don’t need to get your leg over the bike to get on. You can just ‘slide’ onto it. For most people, it may not seem like a big deal. For us, it felt nice to mount.
You’ve got plenty of other features to enjoy too, including a GPS anti-theft alert system (so you can track where your e-bike is), and a calorie counter (for those that are working out). You’ll also love the maximum range of 90 miles, which means you might only need to charge it once or twice per day. Although, bear in mind that under normal conditions you’ll probably get closer to 45-60 miles, especially if you’re going full throttle.
We genuinely believe that the Freedare Eden is the best fat tire e-bike for pure urban riding, or those that have a longer commute to and from work. You’ll probably love it too.

3. Freedare Saiga Electric Fat Bike
To be honest, the Freedare Saiga isn’t too different from the Freedare Eden on the spec front, but it does have a rather useful feature that we think some riders will be enamored with – a better torque sensor system, which lets you squeeze a little bit more out of the battery and makes the ride a little bit more tailored to your riding needs. Well, that and a slightly better suspension system, which make the Freedare Saiga even better for your off-roading needs.
- 750W Motor
- 20Ah Battery
- Top Speed: 28mph
- Maximum Range: 90 miles
For more details, read our review of the Freedare Saiga electric bike.
The Freedare Saga rides in much the same way as the Freedare Eden, even if the design is ever so slightly different (it doesn’t have the step-through design). However, it still brakes as fast, and braves most terrains with ease. As we said, there are a few key differences.
The first (and probably the most important for some riders) is the torque sensor system. The system can detect the complexity of the terrain that you’re riding on, and adjust the amount of power the pedal assist gets. This makes for a far more comfortable ride and extends the life of the battery a little bit.
You also have a slightly better suspension system, which makes the Freedare Saga even better for the off-roader. It is incredibly comfortable.
Other than this, the electric bike has the same maximum speed and range as the Freedare Eden. This electric bike is great for those who want an e-bike that is capable of handling both on-road and off-road rides.

4. Heybike Ranger S Electric Fat Bike
The Heybike Ranger S is a folding electric bike, so it might not be for everybody. However, if you’re looking for an electric bike that you can fold up as you hop onto public transport, or one that takes up less space in your home, then the Heybike Ranger S may be ideal.
- 750W Motor / 1000W Motor (there are two versions of the electric bike)
- 692Wh Battery
- Top Speed: 32mph
- Maximum Range: 55 miles
The Heybike Ranger S is a folding electric bike, but don’t let that put you off. While it doesn’t quite offer the same comfortable experience that a full-sized electric bike would offer, the Heybike Ranger S is still comfortable. It has good suspension, and the seating position is comfortable.
We’re actually quite surprised at how well the Heybike Ranger S performs on all surfaces. Normally, when you get a folding e-bike, taking it off-road is a bit of a gamble. Not the Heybike Ranger S. Even off-road, it feels fantastic. Again, not as great as a full-sized electric bike would be, but most people who buy a folding bike would think that.
Obviously, this is an e-bike that’s only right for those who want something that folds up. There’s no sense in buying it otherwise. If you do want a folding e-bike with power behind it, then the Heybike Ranger S is one of the better choices on the market.

5. Heybike Mars 2.0 Electric Fat Bike
If there’s one thing that Heybike does well, it is creating folding e-bikes. The Heybike Mars 2.0 is the second of their folding e-bikes that we want to cover. It has a slightly different design from the Heybike Ranger S, and it has less power. This means that it may be more suitable for those who don’t necessarily want the most powerful folding fat tire electric bike available. They just want something functional.
- 750W Motor / 1000W Motor (there are two versions of the electric bike)
- 600Wh Battery
- Top Speed: 32mph
- Maximum Range: 45 miles
For more details, read our review of the Heybike Mars 2.0 electric bike.
The Heybike Mars 2.0 works admirably for a folding e-bike. As we said, it isn’t as powerful as the Heybike Ranger S, and the range isn’t as far, but most people won’t really notice the difference. The Heybike Mars 2.0 is built for all terrains but will work best on paved surfaces.
This e-bike also doesn’t have the torque sensor that the Heybike Ranger S does, which means that the e-bike won’t adjust to the terrain, but not really a massive issue. It just means that you might need to switch the pedal assist settings up and down yourself, depending on the situation.
All in all, if you want an affordable folding e-bike that will still perform almost as well as the full-sized e-bike counterparts, then the Heybike Mars 2.0 is ideal.
6. Velowave Ranger 2.0 Electric Fat Bike
The Velowave Ranger 2.0 is one of our favorite-looking electric bikes. It just looks stunning and performs just as well. As an all-terrain e-bike, it is perfect for just about every situation.
- 750W Motor
- 48V 15Ah Battery
- Top Speed: 28mph
- Maximum Range: 30 miles on full throttle, 90 miles on pedal assist.
For more details, read our review of the Velowave Ranger 2.0 electric bike.
Everything about the Velowave Ranger 2.0 has been designed to look good. While most other electric bikes have slapped a rather misplaced LCD screen on the front, the Velowave Ranger 2.0 builds it into one of the handlebars, making it more convenient to read. You wouldn’t think it would be a big deal, but we love it.
Since we’re a decent chunk of the way into our guide to the 7 best fat tire electric bikes for 2024, you’ll already know that the Velowave Ranger 2.0 will perform well. It can handle all surfaces, and the suspension and braking system will make sure of that. It feels at home just as well on dusty, wet surfaces as it would on the roads. This is all thanks to the fat tires.
We will tell you that the Velowave Ranger 2.0 does seem to be a bit better for the longer rides, though. It has more ergonomic handles than we’ve seen on other electric bikes, and the position you’re forced to sit in is quite natural. The 30-mile range on full throttle isn’t too bad either.

7. Magicycle Ocelot Pro Electric Fat Bike
Finally, we’ve got the Magicycle Ocelot Pro, which is one of the better-designed e-bikes, with a seating design that can quickly be adjusted to suit riders of all heights. It also has some of the best brakes of all the e-bikes on the market.
- 750W Motor
- 52V 20Ah Battery
- Top Speed: 28mph
- Maximum Range: 45 to 80 miles, depending on the level of pedal assist.
The Magicycle Ocelot Pro has been designed for rider comfort, with the highlight of the design being the easy-to-adjust seating position. It doesn’t matter how tall or short you are, the Magicycle Ocelot Pro can probably be adjusted to your needs. In fact, it is one of the most adjustable e-bikes we’ve seen. You’ll always find a comfortable position.
The Ocelot Pro also boasts fantastic brakes. Tektro hydraulic disc brakes, to be exact. These disc brakes are very responsive, and even when traveling at the fastest speed, you’ll be slowed down quickly.
The Magicycle Ocelot Pro is suitable for everybody. It is a well-built e-bike built for all conditions. However, the lengthier range (45 miles, even on full pedal assist) will make it suitable for longer bike rides. Even Magicycle recommends it as an all-day bike.
